Since July 1, 2025, Cambodia no longer stamps your passport or sticks a QR sticker in it when you arrive at an international airport or seaport. Instead, immigration issues a v-Pass (Visitor Pass) — a digital entry record sent to your email and available in the Cambodia e-Arrival app and at arrival.gov.kh. It is your official proof of entry and of how long you may stay. Save it, screenshot it, and keep it for the whole trip.
This is the change that confuses arriving travelers most right now: no stamp, no sticker, and a moment of panic at the belt — "did they actually let me in?" They did. Here is what replaced the stamp, where your record lives, and the three habits that keep it simple.
The v-Pass is Cambodia's digital entry and stay record for foreign visitors, run by the General Department of Immigration. When an officer clears you, the system logs your entry electronically and generates your Visitor Pass. It shows your entry details and your permitted length of stay — the same information the old ink stamp carried, now held digitally instead of on a passport page. It applies at international airports and seaports; that airport list now means Techo International (KTI) for Phnom Penh and SAI for Siem Reap — our KTI airport guide walks the arrival sequence there.
Nothing to apply for, nothing to pay: the v-Pass is issued automatically as part of being processed. Anyone offering to "arrange" one for a fee is selling you a stamp that no longer exists.
You may be asked to show your v-Pass during your stay — a phone display is fine, and a printed copy is accepted too. Treat the stay length on it as the number that matters, the same way you once read the stamp: overstaying still costs $10 a day with no cap, and the digital record makes the count exact — see our overstay guide. On departure, present your passport as usual; your exit is recorded digitally and no exit stamp is needed. Extending instead of leaving? Your entry record sits underneath the whole process in our extension guide.

The v-Pass (Visitor Pass) is Cambodia's digital entry record. Since July 1, 2025 it has replaced passport stamps and QR stickers at international airports and seaports. It is issued automatically at immigration and delivered by email, in the Cambodia e-Arrival app, and at arrival.gov.kh.
No — not at international airports and seaports. Entry and exit are recorded digitally and your v-Pass is the official proof. An unstamped page is normal now, not a mistake.
Check the Cambodia e-Arrival app and arrival.gov.kh, where the pass can be retrieved and downloaded, and check the spam folder of the email you used for arrival. Keep a screenshot once you have it.
No. Your permitted stay is whatever your visa allows — the v-Pass simply records it digitally. Overstaying still costs $10 per day with no cap.
